#413. Dad, what is Cheerful Despair?

In our pursuit of meaning, we learn to draw the full value from what is good, regardless of its scale. The ordinary becomes extraordinary when viewed through the lens of being temporary. A cup of tea, the rustle of leaves, the laughter of children—all acquire significance. We can learn how to draw the full value from what is good, whenever, wherever and in whatever doses it arises. Despair but do so cheerfully.
